Product Overview

The Ersa HR 550 is a guided rework system designed for safe reworking based on simple and convenient operation. It combines high-performance optical systems with flexible heating technology to deliver reliable component repair results across a wide range of component sizes — from tiny 01005 (0.2 × 0.4mm) to large 70 × 70mm packages.

The system features a highly efficient 1,800W hybrid top heating head combining 900W infrared and 900W hot air technology in a 70 × 70mm heating area, paired with large-area IR bottom heating across three 800W zones covering 390 × 270mm. An integrated vacuum pipette handles component pickup and placement with force detection for precise, damage-free positioning.

The Enhanced Visual Assistant (EVA) provides computer-aided component alignment with a 5MP GigE color camera offering both wide-angle (70 × 70mm) and telephoto (25 × 33mm) fields of view. All processes are controlled and documented through HRSoft 2 operating software, ensuring reproducible results with complete traceability.
